Tryout Process & Club Pricing

TRYOUT PROCESS

Athletes are strongly encouraged to attend all tryout dates. If you are unable to attend a scheduled
tryout, please email us at granitestatevolleyballclub@gmail.com and let us know about your
situation.
During the tryout process, each athlete will be evaluated on a variety of volleyball skills. New
players are welcome and encouraged to tryout! Prior experience on a school or club team is not
required. Aside from playing ability, we will also be looking at other incredibly important things
such as coachability, respect for others, hustle and attitude. Please encourage your athlete to do
their best and to come into the process with a positive mindset.
At the time of check-in, athletes will be provided with a bib number and GSVC t-shirt. They will be
asked to complete a brief form outlining player experience (if any), their two preferred positions and
team(s) that they are trying out for. Some players are open to playing “up” an age level if the
opportunity presents itself.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING TO TRYOUTS

This year, we are asking our athletes to wear a t-shirt that tells our coaches their primary position that they are trying out for. Please use the guide below:

Setters: White

Hitters: Blue

Defense: Grey

Athletes will need to be accompanied by a parent to fill out forms on the 1st day of tryouts.

Players will also need to bring/wear:

spandex/shorts/leggings

water

bib number (provided on first day of tryouts)

knee pads

court shoes

OFFER PROCESS

At the time a verbal or written offer is made to the athlete and/or a parent, you will have 48 hours to
accept it. This can happen at any point during or after the tryout process. A non-refundable deposit
of $600.00 is due within 48 hours of an offer being extended to you. This payment is made through
SportsEngine using a link provided by GSVC and this guarantees the athlete a spot on the roster in
which the offer was made. This deposit is applied towards the athlete’s total tuition cost for the
season.

Any offers to play that are not accepted within the 48-hour decision window are considered void. At
this point, we would offer the roster spot to another athlete. Please feel free to communicate with
GSVC staff if you have any questions or concerns while you are in the decision phase!

CLUB PRICING/TUITION

*Our program is structured by using colors to define the teams by time commitment, travel, and tuition costs.

Navy Teams:

*Offered at 16U, 17U & 18U

The cost to play on our Navy Teams this 2025-26 season is $3,195.00. You have the
option of paying the entire balance after the offer is extended or taking advantage of one of our
payment plans outlined below. This tuition fee includes, but is not limited to, four hours of practice
time per week (may be modified during tournament weeks / holidays), two GSVC uniform shirts,
spandex shorts or leggings, GSVC backpack, generous player apparel package, team tournament entry fees and
coach stipend. Travel costs including lodging and meals for tournaments are not included in this
fee. These teams participate in the AAU Champions League (four tournaments), a minimum of five weekend-long convention center tournaments within New England plus one outside of New England.

A non-refundable deposit of $600.00 is due at the time of accepting an offer to play for Granite State
Volleyball Club. This is due within 48 hours of an offer being extended to you. This payment (and
others within a payment plan) are made through SportsEngine using a link provided by GSVC and this
guarantees the athlete a spot on the roster in which the offer was made. This deposit is applied
towards the athlete’s total tuition cost for the season.

White Teams:

*Offered at 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U & 18U

The cost to play on our White Teams this 2025-26 season is $2,600.00. You have the option of paying the entire balance after the offer is extended or taking advantage of one of our payment plans outlined below. This tuition fee includes, but is not limited to, four hours of practice time per week (may be modified during tournament weeks / holidays), two GSVC uniform shirts, spandex shorts or leggings, GSVC backpack, generous player apparel package, team tournament entry fees and coach stipend. Travel costs including lodging and meals for tournaments are not included in this fee. These teams participate in five NERVA one-day tournaments and five weekend-long convention center tournaments within New England.

The cost to play on our Silver Teams this 2025-26 season is $1,595.00. You have the option of paying the entire balance after the offer is extended or taking advantage of one of our payment plans outlined below. This tuition fee includes, but is not limited to, two hours of practice time per week (may be modified during tournament weeks / holidays), a GSVC uniform shirt, spandex shorts or leggings, GSVC backpack, generous player apparel package, team tournament entry fees and coach stipend. Travel costs including lodging and meals for tournaments are not included in this fee. These participate in five NERVA one-day tournaments plus one weekend-long convention center tournament within New England.

PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS

GSVC is happy to offer the following payment options to you in order to provide flexibility with your
tuition costs:
Option 1: Payment in full within 48 hours of our offer being extended to you.
Option 2: Deposit of $600.00 within 48 hours of our offer being extended to you with eight equal
payments due on your remaining balance on 8/15, 9/15, 10/15, 11/15, 12/15, 1/15, 2/15, and 3/15.
Option 3: Deposit of $600.00 within 48 hours of our offer being extended to you with four equal
payments due on your remaining balance on 11/15, 1/15, 2/15 and 3/15.
Option 4: Deposit $600.00 within 48 hours of our offer being extended to you with three equal
payments due on your remaining balance on 11/15, 1/15 and 3/15.

ADDITIONAL POLICIES

*In order to reduce fees that are charged by SportsEngine, GSVC will accept a check for your
installment payment. This check must be received no later than 10 days before your due date so
that it can be processed. Once your check is cleared, we will credit your SportsEngine account prior
to your due date.

*Returned checks will incur a charge of $30.00. This charge will be invoiced to you through
SportsEngine.

*Payments that are not received on or before the agreed-upon due date will have a $25.00 late fee
assessed. This charge will be invoiced to you through SportsEngine.

*If payments are not made in accordance with your payment plan, your player may be deemed
ineligible for practices and games until her account is brought current.

*GSVC has a no refund policy. Once you accept a roster spot, you have made a commitment to our
program and all future payments must be made in accordance with your selected payment plan.

*If a player decides, after accepting a roster spot and making the initial deposit, that she does not
want to participate for any reason, all future payments must be made in accordance with your
selected payment plan.

*Injuries are an unfortunate part of any sport. In the event of an injury, the player remains an
important part of the team and is encouraged to attend as many practices and games as she is able
to. Much can be gained through observation and showing support for her teammates. Refunds
cannot be provided due to injury and all future payments must be made in accordance with your
selected payment plan.

*Players that owe an outstanding balance to GSVC will have their NERVA membership flagged by the
New England Region. This will make the player ineligible to participate in any other club until her
balance is cleared with GSVC.
